Alternative Armies is proud to now release more classic 25mm /28mm scale miniatures as part of our ongoing programme to bring our mighty range back to the world of wargaming. Following up on the two codes in the 'Kev's Creatures' range KC1 Lesser Goblins and KC2 Mountain Orcs we now have four more codes giving you OH Goblin Infantry and Cavalry to put into the fray!
The four packs are as follows:
OH3 Cros Goblin Raiders
“Damn the name of Yardugul Cros to the deepest depths of the vile pit that spawned him. His raiders have slaughtered peasants and nobles alike and while the commoners matter not to the throne the loss of persons of quality must be stopped. The city guard will lay an ambush and when Cros raiders arrive eager for blood and plunder they will meet out steel and our lances. Yardugal Cros will die by my blade and the rest of his Goblin vermin will be skewered upon poles to line the road back to the palace. This will be and I Baron Hardstrain will see to it!”

OH4 Cros Goblin Spears
“I shall take none of the blame in this debacle. The fault lays with the knights, with the squires and with the peasantry who fled in the face of Yardugal Cros warband of Goblins. It is true that we did not think them so many. It is true that we did not think them so well armed and armoured. It is also true that due to an illness brought upon me during the previous night I had to led the ambush from the rear. It is not true that I shook in my satin boots at the sound of screams and sword clash nor that I hid in a pig sty and befouled my silk breeches. OH5 Goblin Wolf Cavalry I
“With a speed that is deceptive and agility unmatched by any horse the wolf riders can appear from a tree line and charge with little time to react to them. Ranging far ahead of the Goblin hordes they are scouts and mounted archers and while no threat to an army they are a pest and can be lethal for an isolated garrison or patrol. Often the howl of the wolves is the portent of doom for those poor souls.”

“I know the horses of the Imperial Guard are trained to kick and stomp and even bite the foes as their riders sweep with sword and level with lance but the wolf riders of the Goblins are worse for a poor foot archer like me. Worse because they stalk you, they circle you and then they lope in low and fast before baring yellowed teeth and trying to tear your throat out. Ignore the screaming Goblin on its back...make sure your last arrow finds the eye of the wolf!”

The Alternative Armies classic high fantasy range dates from the period of the early 1990's through to the end of that decade. Designed by leading names in the wargaming industry and highly successful in its day this range has been on hiatus. Alternative Armies, under the name 'Project Darkhelm' is dedicated to re-mastering, re-molding and re-releasing this entire range back onto the market.
